Oak Grove Montessori School is excited to launch a solar energy project that will bring clean, renewable energy to our school while creating an opportunity for our students to see sustainability in action.
Montessori Values in Action
Care for the environment is woven into the Montessori approach. Maria Montessori recognized that children develop a lasting connection to the natural world when they are given meaningful opportunities to care for it. Our solar project puts that principle into action. The panels on our roof will become a visible, everyday reminder that the choices we make today shape the world our children will inherit tomorrow.

The Neighborhood Assistance Act

As an approved energy-conservation project, “Local businesses can receive a 100% State Tax Credit when they support “Here Comes the Sun!”.  Applications are available for a limited time and must be submitted online between September 15th and October 1st.  LINK here for more information about NAA.   Link to OGMS Press Release.

Support the Oak Grove Annual Fund

When you make a contribution through the Oak Grove Annual Fund, you can chose to designate your donation to “Here Comes the Sun!”.  By doing this, you’re investing in the future of Oak Grove for years to come!

As a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, all donations to Oak Grove Montessori School are tax deductible.

Grand Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!!

Join Oak Grove, our families, and fellow community partners at our Grand Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in Spring 2027.  Participating businesses will be recognized for helping to bring clean, renewable energy to Oak Grove and creating a lasting educational resource for our students.

“Here Comes the Sun!” is more than an investment in solar energy. It is an investment in our children and their future.

We are incredibly grateful to the Oak Grove families, friends, local businesses, and community members who are helping make this project possible. It is a wonderful example of what can happen when a community comes together around a shared vision.

As the project moves forward, we look forward to sharing the journey with our school community — from the first steps of installation to the day our students can look up and see the sun helping power their school.
